What is Drums of War?
Drums of War is a tabletop roleplaying game system, designed to allow you to create your own adventures in the world of the Warcraft games. I created Drums of War as a game design final project, in part out of a desire to be able to play and create in Azeroth with the kind of flexibility that a tabletop RPG allows, to create new characters and adventures and allow players to tell their own stories in the rich and incredibly deep world that the Warcraft presents.
As presently written, Drums of War does assume some familiarity with tabletop roleplaying games such as D&D and Warhammer Fantasy, as well as the Warcraft universe. It also does not directly replicate much of the lore of the games, that function being well covered elsewhere.

Alpha 4 Released!
Yet another new version of Drums of War is now available! Initially this was to correct what the author felt was a grevious ommission, that of the "superloot" table designed to generate complete random treasure results, but through the contributions of Mr. Sam Drost, there is now another reason to update: It's prettier! Yes, thanks to his tireless effort, over the weekend no less, Drums of War has been completely re-laid out to actually look like a real book instead of something I just slapped together in LibreOffice. In the process, I've done a full pass on the rules again and fixed some more bugs and bits all throughout. As usual, be sure to check the Revision Notes page to keep abreast of the changes. We're on Google+
There is now a Google+ Page for Drums of War, which I'll be using to provide more regular commentary on the game, teasers about anything coming up, notes from my games, that sort of thing. You can check us out at this link. Give us a +1! J Arcane 21:22, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
